Mandee Heller Adler
Mandee
Heller Adler is the Founder
and Principal of
International
College Counselors, LLC. She is a graduate
of the University of Pennsylvania where she graduated with Honors
and two
degrees- one from the Wharton School and one from the College of Arts
and Sciences.
She also received an MBA from Harvard Business School, where she was
selected
as a Class Day Speaker. Additionally, she received a fellowship from
Rotary
International to study at ICADE, a premier business school located in
Madrid,
Spain.
Ms. Adler
served on the Executive
Board of the Penn Fund, and for 13 years worked as an alumni
interviewer for
the school. She was also President of the Penn Gold Coast Alumni
Association,
representing Broward and Palm Beach Counties. Additionally, she
spent six
years as her Class Fund Chair for the Harvard Business School.
She has
personally visited over 150 colleges and universities, and continues to
do so.
Ms. Adler is currently completing a book called “From Public
School to the Ivy
League: How to get into a top school without top dollar
resources.” She is a
member of NACAC, the National Association for College Admission
Counseling and
a professional member of the IECA, the Independent Educational
Consultants
Association.
Barry N. Liebowitz
Barry N.
Liebowitz is a Principal of
International College Counselors, LLC. He holds a Bachelors of Arts
degree in
English with minors in History and Journalism from the State University
of New
York at Stony Brook. Mr. Liebowitz is a member
of NACAC, the
National Association for College Admission Counseling, SACAC, the Southern Association for College Admission Counseling and a professional member
of the IECA, the Independent Educational Consultants Association.
Prior to
his work with International
College Counselors, Mr. Liebowitz spent ten years as a Marketing and
Sales
Director in New York City. Mr. Liebowitz is also a member of
the Mt.
Sinai Medical Center Foundation Young Presidents Club and a member of
the
Jewish Federation of Broward County Horizon's Leadership Program.
As a former high school and college student-athlete who played baseball and basketball, Mr. Liebowitz enjoys working with students as they strive to continue their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level.
Pablo Botero
Pablo
Botero serves as Director of
International Outreach in Colombia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts
degree in
Government from Harvard University. At Harvard, Mr. Botero was
the
Vice-President of the Latin American Students Association. Prior
to
attending Harvard, he volunteered to serve with the Colombian Army and
was
stationed in the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt with the Multinational Force
&
Observers; an independent, international peacekeeping
organization.
Before representing ICC in Colombia, Mr. Botero was Private Secretary
to
Colombia’s Minister of Finance at that time. He is
currently a board
member of the Harvard Club in Colombia and is involved in several
educational
and technological initiatives in his home country.
Dr. Lourdes Martinez Cowgill
Lourdes Martinez Cowgill, Ph.D. serves as a Director of College Counseling for International College Counselors. Prior to joining International College Counselors, Dr. Cowgill worked for 15 years as President of Pine Crest School in Fort Lauderdale, one of the top private college preparatory schools in the United States. During her 38 years at Pine Crest, Dr. Cowgill worked in a variety of positions, including Headmistress, Director of Curriculum, and Foreign Language Department Chair. Additionally, in the last 25 years she also worked as a College Counselor for the school, providing one-on-one support for students including Presidential Scholars, National Merit Scholars, scholar-athletes, visual and performing arts majors, Ivy League-bound applicants, and many others.
Dr. Cowgill’s leadership positions on the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) Board, National Merit Corporation Advisory Council and Educational Records Bureau (ERB) Board of Trustees offer families insight into standardized testing and the role it plays in selective college admissions. Dr. Cowgill’s native language is Spanish. She has done national work in that academic field as a member and Chair of the Spanish Achievement Test (Spanish SAT II) and presenter for Spanish AP workshops in the Southern region. Dr. Cowgill earned her B.A. from Barry University, her M.A. and Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College, and her M.Ed. from Florida Atlantic University.
Cheryl Delaney
Cheryl Delaney serves as the Senior College Advisor in the Greater New York area for International College Counselors. Ms. Delaney is a New York State certified K-12 school counselor. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Boston University’s College of Communication and has a Master of Science in Education from the CACREP accredited counseling program at Lehman College of the City University of New York. At Lehman, Ms. Delaney was inducted into Chi Sigma Iota, the Counseling Academic & Professional Honor Society. Ms. Delaney is a member of the New York State Association for College Admissions Counseling (NYSACAC) and the Westchester Putnam Rockland Counseling Association (WPRCA).
Ms. Delaney’s experience encompasses working in different middle schools and high schools in several capacities including college advisor, substitute teacher and school counselor. Ms. Delaney has also spent nearly two decades in Manhattan as a marketing and communication professional. Her work includes B2B marketing at several Am Law 200 firms and managing Fortune 1000 clients from the advertising/promotions agency side. Ms. Delaney’s pro bono service is dedicated to academic achievement in urban schools. As a mom, Ms. Delaney understands parents' need for effective time management as it relates to their children's future college plans.
Samiah Hamdani
Samiah Ahsanuddin Hamdani serves as the Director of Field Operations in Pakistan. Ms. Hamdai received her Masters in Economics, Banking & Finance from the Lahore School of Economics (LSE) in Lahore, Pakistan where she also served as President of her class. She further went for an MPhil in Education in School Development at University of Cambridge, UK, where she graduated top of her class. Ms. Hamdai also has a Diploma in Photography from the American College in London. After graduation, Ms. Hamdai returned to Pakistan where she worked as a Curriculum Developer and Evaluator for Pakistan’s largest school system, the Beaconhouse School System. She married & moved to Karachi where she joined the prestigious Aga Khan University & Hospital and taught English to nursing students and doctors. In addition to working at International College Counselors, Samiah gives teacher training courses and also runs her own photography business, working as a freelance photographer.
Aimee
Heller
Aimee Heller serves as the Director of Communications for International College Counselors. She is an award winning advertising copywriter who knows how to best showcase a student's unique achievements, personality and passion in 500 words or less (or more if the essay requirements specify). For 25 years, she worked in New York on a number of accounts including Coca-Cola, IKEA, The History Channel and Moët & Chandon. In addition to working for International College Counselors, she currently writes for CBS, The Miami Herald and a few other clients.
Ms. Heller graduated Cum Laude from Boston University with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communications and has a Master’s degree in Education from City College of New York. She has worked with students in high schools and boarding schools throughout the United States and has contacts at many of the nation's leading secondary school programs.
Annie Hsu
Annie Hsu serves as a Senior College Advisor for International College Counselors. Annie graduated cum laude from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and was awarded the Robert G. Crowder Prize for her undergraduate thesis. Ms. Hsu received her Masters in Education in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She has taught English in China and worked as a senior administrator for an international university in Bangladesh. She was the director of student affairs at The New England School of English and has also worked on a research project designed to improve reading comprehension in students at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
In addition to working with International College Counselors, Ms. Hsu is working at Northeastern University in an office to support international students. She is the founder of a non-profit volunteer organization that provides free English classes to immigrants and international students. Ms. Hsu speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese. She currently resides in Boston.
Cheree Liebowitz
Cheree
Heller Liebowitz serves as the Director of Marketing for International
College Counselors. She graduated with Honors from the University of
Florida with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a
Minor in
Business while enrolled in the school’s Honors Program.
Ms. Liebowitz spent a semester abroad in Madrid, Spain through Syracuse
University’s Study Abroad program. She also holds a
Certificate in Sports Marketing from New York University’s School
of Continuing and Professional Studies. Cheree is active in the
University of Florida’s Alumni Association and served as an
Officer in the Gator Club of Miami.
Prior to her work at International College Counselors, Ms. Liebowitz spent
many years in Experiential Marketing coordinating events for American
Express OPEN, Motorola, Basketball Hall of Fame, MLB Baseball, Lipton
and other corporations. She most recently served as the Director of
Marketing at Special Needs Group.
Brenda Rudman
Brenda Rudman serves as a Director of College Counseling for International College Counselors. She graduated from Brown University with a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and a Masters of Arts in Teaching History. Ms. Rudman is a lifelong educator who began her classroom teaching career at Phillips Exeter Academy where she earned the distinction of “Continuing Appointment,” a lifetime appointment to the faculty. At Exeter, Ms. Rudman also served as an Academic Advisor and Head of Boys Varsity Tennis. For the last two decades, Ms. Rudman has remained in education as an independent consultant and researcher in multiple capacities. Her former clients include St. Andrew’s School in Boca Raton, Florida Atlantic University’s College of Education, Palm Beach County School District, Barnes and Noble, and most recently, Eduventures, a global research and consulting firm, primarily serving colleges and universities.
Prior to International College Counselors, Ms. Rudman was associated with Academic Concepts Tutoring, an independent learning center, where she served as College Prep Programs Director and administered its SAT prep program. Additionally, Ms. Rudman is a former alumni interviewer for Brown University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions and graduated Cum Laude from St. Andrew’s School.
Jonathan Saltzburg
Jonathan
Saltzburg serves as a Director of College
Counseling for International College Counselors, as well as President
and
Founder of College Recovery Counselors, which is engaged in the
business of
providing educational consulting for emotional and behavioral problems,
substance abuse, ADHD and other learning disabilities in adolescents
and young
adults.
Mr. Saltzburg has worked in the Office of
Admissions for both the Wharton School of Business at the University of
Pennsylvania and Florida Atlantic University. Prior to working at
Florida
Atlantic University, Mr. Saltzburg earned his MBA from the Wharton School of
Business majoring in Finance and Marketing. He currently serves as a Board Member of
the Penn Gold Coast Alumni Association, representing Palm Beach County and as a member of the Spanish River Community High School Career Academies Advisory Board. Prior to
business
school, he worked as a Supervisor and Senior Financial Analyst at
Warner
Brothers Entertainment. Mr. Saltzburg earned a Bachelor of Science
in Business
Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Mr. Saltzburg is
an
associate member of the IECA, the Independent Educational Consultants
Association.
Lindsey Stahley
Lindsey
Stahley serves as the Director of Client Relations for International
College
Counselors. Ms. Stahley began
her educational career as
an Elementary Reading Specialist within the Miami Dade County Public
Schools
where she worked with students grades K-5 on basic reading and verbal
skills. She later worked as Assistant Director of the Huntington
Learning
Center in Pembroke Pines, Florida where she met with families and
coordinated
learning solutions within the center. Ms. Stahley is a graduate of
the
University of Miami, where she was a Trustee’s Scholarship
recipient. She is
a local Floridian who attended
Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.
